Handmade Solid Brass Radha Krishna Statue Pair - 14" / 35.5cm, 7.0kg | Indian Temple Art Sculpture

    Description

Nearly seven kilograms of brass. Two figures. One of Indian art's most enduring expressions of devotion.

This handcrafted Radha Krishna brass statue pair stands approximately 14 inches (35.5cm) high and weighs 7.0kg overall. The scale gives it genuine presence: this isn't a small devotional figurine or shelf ornament, but a substantial sculptural piece designed to hold a room.

Krishna is depicted in his classical Venugopala - flute-playing - form, standing with crossed legs in the graceful pose that has appeared in Indian sculpture for centuries. Museum examples of Venugopala show the same visual language: Krishna with his flute, crossed legs, elaborate ornamentation and lotus-based composition.

Look closer and the amount of work becomes apparent. Layered crowns, necklaces, waist ornaments and draped garments cover both figures. Peacock and floral forms move through the composition, while the deeply worked lotus-form pedestals give each sculpture a substantial architectural base. The richness of the surface recalls the increasingly elaborate metal sculpture of India's later temple traditions, where fine ornament became an important part of the visual language.

Radha and Krishna are presented together as a pair - a devotional image deeply connected with love and bhakti, or devotion, but the craftsmanship allows the piece to live equally well as significant Indian art in a contemporary home.

      Is This For You?

Some stores sell products. We carry stories. Every shawl, every brass piece, every hand-painted box in our collection was made by an artisan who has spent a lifetime perfecting their craft. If meaningful home decor matters to you, keep reading.

      The Conscious Home Curator

You are deliberate about what enters your space. You want objects with soul, with provenance, with a maker behind them. You are tired of home decor that looks like everyone else's. You want yours to feel alive.

      The Thoughtful Gift-Giver

You refuse to give forgettable gifts. A birthday, a housewarming, a Diwali celebration, a wedding. You want the recipient to unwrap something and genuinely feel it. A Kashmiri cashmere shawl or a hand-painted Papier-Mache piece does exactly that.

The Traveller Who Brought Something Home

You have been to places that stayed with you. The markets, the craftsmanship, the colours you could not stop photographing. You came back changed, and you want your home to hold a little of that feeling. Our pieces are for people who travelled somewhere extraordinary and never quite left.

The One Who Carries Their Roots Quietly

Home is layered for you. You do not need to explain it. You simply want your space to hold something familiar, something that connects without needing a label. Our pieces do that without announcement.

      The Interior Design Enthusiast

You layer cultures, mix aesthetics, and obsess over the details others miss. Our brass, marble, and wood pieces bring warmth and authenticity to your home decor that no mass-market catalogue can replicate. Your space deserves better than ordinary.

      The Ethical Buyer

You vote with your wallet. You want to know that your purchase reaches real artisans and sustains real communities. Every piece from The Ganges is sourced directly from skilled craftspeople across the subcontinent. Your purchase keeps a living tradition alive.

      Sound Like You?

If you have ever stopped in front of a beautifully made object and felt something, curiosity, warmth, a pull toward it, then The Ganges was made for you. Explore our collections and find the piece that belongs in your world.
